An inspiring story about a woman who was forcibly removed from interactions with anyone but her immediate family for over a decade and a half. Always shy and withdrawn, Sonabai created an entirely new artistic expression with no guidance or instruction. Her art was completely different from anything seen in India before — a world of color, light, and whimsy — all her own.
During this time of isolation, the creator of this film has offered it as a new paradigm to both students and teachers whose lives have been changed so dramatically. His hope is that others might, at the very least, be exposed to new expressions, and, perhaps be inspired to create their own new worlds.
