This was not created by our school but we wanted to share as a resource with others who might benefit. Beyond Plastics, a nonprofit org at Bennington College, just launched a distance-learning opportunity in the form of a virtual film series on plastic pollution. People can watch online at their convenience and some films include curriculum resources. The first film, Plastic Wars is a joint investigation by NPR and Frontline into the truth of recycling and debuts on 3/31 but can be streamed anytime via PBS.org There is a virtual viewing of the film Microplastic Madness, a very uplifting film about a group of 5th graders, at 4 PM on Saturday, April 4th which will be followed by a virtual Q&A with the co-directors and Judith Enck, former EPA regional administrator and president of Beyond Plastics (RSVP required). Discovery Channel will air The Story of Plastics on Earth Day. Details on the other films, how to watch, and additional resources for educators and parents are all on the web page.
