As the School Nurse at Albuquerque Academy, I have developed a draft of “COVID-19 Return to School Guidelines” to use not only in our Health Office but also as a collaborative approach within our institution when our campus re-opens. This is important because the climate of health care and health care delivery will continue to evolve in the midst of this pandemic. We need to be prepared to adapt to these changes in order to best serve our community.
This is a draft that has been developed with regard to New Mexico state law, the New Mexico School State Health Manual, provisions from the Centers for Disease Control, National Association of School Nurses, the New Mexico Department of Health, and more. It is subject to change and edits.
