Building Community

At Sacred Heart Greenwich we have created various ways to build community, make sure all feel connected, and ensure the mission of our school continues to move forward.

Community: Each day begins with a quick advisory meeting via Zoom. This allows advisors to do a quick temperature taking and ensure our students are feeling connected. Each daily class also begins with a synchronous experience via Zoom so that teachers can lead discussions and share information on upcoming assignments; this virtual time together also helps students and teachers connect with each other. We are also hosting daily community-building activities such as all-school gatherings, advisory meetings, and grade level meetings.

Service: Our service program is also continuing as we have given our students various options to serve our community through writing letters to caregivers and nursing home residents, helping local food banks stay stocked, etc.

Faith: We are providing numerous opportunities for both students and their parents to participate in the faith life of school through daily prayers and chapel services.

Wellness: We host daily afternoon activities to foster wellness and to help all feel connected. We have a variety of art, fitness, athletic, service, and faith options, mostly led by Sacred Heart faculty and staff members.
