In the face of the COVID-19 crisis, Gunston’s leadership team developed and shared a “response philosophy” outlining the core principles that will guide the school during this time. The school also revised the school’s leadership structure in light of the crisis. Derived from McKinsey’s philosophy of “agile teams”, the reorganization reflects the challenges of our new reality, and involves major reassignments of the lines of responsibility within the school. Most notably, we created a unique role responsible for adult learning, and developed a School-Trustee COVID-19 Response Team.
